Kartplotter godkjent av Sjøfart for papirløst seilas
Coastal E er et kartsystem som kan benyttes enten med papirkart som reserveløsning eller man kan installere to Coastal E maskiner og kaste papirkartet i land! Coastal E er basert på TECDIS. Den er like brukervennlig og har samme funksjonalitet, men Coastal E er ikke godkjent som ECDIS. Derimot tilfredsstiller den norske krav til elektroniske kartløsninger som erstatning for kart, for fartøy opptil 24 meter, ref. Sjøfartsdirektoratets rundskriv RSV 12-2019.
